At St. At Katharine's, we have a specialist music teacher who comes once a week to deliver a session to the Reception children from Term 3 onwards. Music threads through all areas of learning and development. Music can be a way of exploring, communicating and responding to experience. Making music with others can be a social experience, through a call and response song or with instruments. Our music lessons are enriching for our youngest children and have a focus on expression, beat and rhythm, as well as singing and learning well loved songs and rhymes.
