Our Vision

Inspired by the parable of the mustard seed, we believe that even the smallest act of faith and kindness can grow into something great. Just as the mustard seed flourishes into a sheltering tree, we nurture our children so they may thrive and support others.

Our Values

We live out our vision through our core Christian values of love, truth and forgiveness.

At St Katharine’s Knockholt Church of England Primary School, we pride ourselves on being a joyful and caring community where every child is truly cherished. Our school is more than just a place of learning – it is a welcoming family where children feel safe, valued, and encouraged to grow into the very best version of themselves.

We believe that education flourishes when it is rooted in kindness, respect, and a deep sense of belonging. That is why we work in close partnership with parents and carers, recognising the vital role they play in supporting their child’s journey. Together, we nurture curiosity, celebrate individuality, and lay the foundations for a lifelong love of learning.

At St Katharine’s, every child is seen, every voice is heard, and every achievement is celebrated.

Results

One of the ways we measure our success is by our academic results, which are consistently above national levels.  Our children begin at different starting points but we ensure that every child succeeds.

Wrap-Around Care

Our wrap-around care – The Hive – supports families by offering childcare before and after school hours. It’s convenient and allows children to transition smoothly between school and home.

Creative Curriculum

We offer a wide-ranging, creative curriculum designed to enrich your child’s learning experience. We encourage critical thinking, creativity and help children develop a thirst for knowledge.

Special Events

We regularly hold special events that bring our community together. From sports days to art shows, your family can engage in exciting activities throughout the year! Why not get involved and join the PTA?

Policies

Our policies can yell you a lot about how we manage our children’s safety and behaviour how we plan our curriculums, how we manage our SEND children and our expectations around uniform and medical issues.

Community Involvement

We believe in fostering a strong community spirit. Get involved in school activities, volunteer and help us create a thriving environment for our children! They really love it when parents get involved.

The school day at St Katharine’s runs from 8.50am to 3.25pm. To support parents, help with parking and allow children to ease into their school day, we operate a “soft start” from 8.30am.  Every child (and their adult) are welcomed each day at the gate by a member of staff, usually one of the Headteachers. Children can be on site, supervised in the KS1 and KS2 playgrounds (or in the classroom if wet), from 8.30am. YR children are welcomed at their own entrance and go straight to their classroom. The whistle is blown at 8.50am and registration is at 8.55am, with lessons starting promptly at 9.00am. We encourage children to arrive early to settle in and be ready for a great day of learning! Lunch is 12.15-1.15pm, with YR and KS1 eating first, then going out to play and KS2 playing first then eating at 12.45pm. Lessons start again for everyone at 1.15pm.  YR and KS1 enjoy an afternoon play and this continues at the start of Year 3, to help with transition between year groups. The learning day ends at 3.15pm for YR and 3.25pm for all other year groups.

We love when parents, grandparents and carers get involved! You can volunteer for events, join the Parent Teacher Association, help out in the classroom, the library or in forest school. Your support makes a big difference!

We offer a range of after-school clubs including a wide range of sports, art, gardening and outdoor enrichment. There’s something to spark every child’s interest and let them have fun!
